In Clearwater, Florida, spring training has arrived for the Philadelphia, Phightin' Phils.
Officially, its just Pitchers and Catchers. However, it looks like everyone done did showed up.
There is plenty to be excited about. The #1 starter, Jon Lieber, from the 2006 squad is seen as the 5th starter at best, and most likely trade bait. The rotation has been shored up with names like Freddy Garcia, Cole Hamels, and Jaime Moyer. Even the injury-riddled Randy Wolf has been adequately replaced in the form of Adam Eaton, including the above average pitching bat. Brett Myers arrives in camp pushing 200 lbs, the physical best we've seen him in years.
If pitching is what wins championships, then the philles off-season looks like a success.

Welcome to Drinkintown.
Welcome to yet another Philadelphia Sports blog.
Born out of the need to fill the void between Football and Baseball season, and to distract from the tranwrecks known as the Flyers and the 76'ers.
Pull up a stool, order a drink and let's hear your thoughts.
